back Compagnie Käfig (France) In 1996 Compagnie Käfig premiered their first production, Käfig, at Les Rencontres de la Villette. By 1998 Compagnie Käfig introduced its second evening-length work, R3/4cital, which met the challenging task of blending traditional dance with Hip Hop culture. The show toured France and has enjoyed international recognition in China, Africa, Finland, Germany, Italy, the United States and Russia. Since the company was formed in 1996, it has presented over 240 performances. It has created works for French festivals, the Lyon Biennial Dance Festival parade, the Deci-Dela with the city of Saint-Priest, and the Enfance-Danse with L'Esplanade in Saint-Etienne.
