SEAN GRAHAM SEAN GRAHAM (UK) - Buskin' Boy
UK premiere

Buskin' Boy, originally a scene from a play written by Sean Graham, has been developed into a solo work during Jonzi D's weekly Surgery workshops held at Sadler's Wells.

Wannabe artist, Marvin Campbell - aka MC - is struggling to find the missing piece of the puzzle to his life; the relevance of having a father he's never met. His curiosity leads him to London, the "Golden City", where he hopes to find the answers to his questions whilst finding a route to begin his career. Under the wing of Francis, his so-called comrade and cousin, MC is encouraged to busk a show under the bright lights of the West End. It isn't long before he realises that Francis is a low level street hustler and has been carefully trying to groom him to use his talent as a cover up for a drug dealing scam. Vunerable, alone, and feeling rejected by his father, MC has nowhere to turn and can only wonder how he found himself in this situation in the first place……
