Tony Thrills has been bboying for 12 years and is a founder member of Edinburgh based Random Aspekts crew.

Tony began working professionally as a dancer in 2004 making the cross over from breaking in to contemporary styles with Freshmess Dance Company. Tony has continued to work as a performer, teacher and choreographer in both these styles. With random Aspekts and the co-founded Cypher Dance, Tony has brought original works to Breakin’ Convention audiences on 2007 and 2009 respectively. Tony also hosts and assists in the organisation of local jams and events in Scotland, namely Make or Break, Castle Rocks and this year’s Set it Off Street Dance Championships. Along with other members of Random Aspekts, tony also runs a monthly clubnight in Edinburgh as a spot for the public and the local dancers to get down.

Tony has been acting as Breakin’ Convention rep in Edinburgh since 2007 and is personally focused on helping local hip hop dance artists to develop their practice through the connections with Edinburgh Festival theatre and Scotland’s major dance agency, Dance Base. Tony has established his own company, Room 2 Manoeuvre and will tour two solos this autumn with support from Creative Scotland. Tony loves good coffee and croissants.
