Cypher Dance are Tony Mills (Freshmess) and Matt Foster (David Hughes Dance Company). They are founder members of one of Scotlands top bboy crews, Random Aspekts who perform their hugely successful show "Rock a Bye BBoy" at BC 07. Cypher Dance allows both members to explore wider possibilities in the cross-over between bboying and contemporary dance.

BOX FRESH is a deconstruction of bboy culture and also a reflection of the route we have taken through our careers, beginning in the realm of bboying and gradually moving into the contemporary world. It touches on characteristics present within the scene that can be over emphasised which, more often than not, leads the creation of a misunderstood image of a bboy. It is ultimately a question of where we place ourselves within the spectrum of dance...and do we really need to qualify what we do? This is a short excerpt of a longer work in progress.
