Now in it's 4th year, the Serious About StreetDance event was created by Nike Athlete Kymberlee Jay and is now recognised as the leading street dance extravaganza in the UK. Serious about StreetDance is the only live event to bring together over 200 of the finest performers offering the chance for spectators to experience street dance like never before.
Dancers confirmed to perform at Serious About StreetDance have featured in box office smash movies (Street Dance 3D), on prime time television (Got To Dance, So You Think You Can Dance, Strictly Come Dancing, Britain's Got Talent, X-Factor) and in promo/on stage with the worlds biggest music artists (including Madonna, Janet Jackson, Beyonce, Kylie Minogue, Mariah Carey, Kanye West, Whitney Houston, Leona Lewis and Rihanna).
For the first time, the 2012 Serious About StreetDance event will also include an explosive £1000 crew (5 vs.5) street dance battle competition (with preliminary rounds taking place on Thursday 1st March 2012 at University of London Union) to crown the hottest battle crew in the UK.
