BC08: GET INVOLVED

Breakin' Convention is in its fifth year and each year over 300 UK and international artists bring new and exciting work to its stage.

The 2008 festival will take place at Sadler's Wells, London from Sat 3 - Mon 5 May.

If you are interested in being involved, please read the following guidelines.

COMPANIES OUTSIDE THE UK

We are looking for innovative Hip Hop  dance theatre. If you have footage of a piece that you’d like to propose, please upload footage to YouTube and send the link to emma@breakinconvention.com.

Alternatively, please send 2 copies of your footage on DVD to:

ARE YOU NEW TO BREAKIN' CONVENTION?

If not, please jump to the next section below. If yes, then read on:

Are you making hip hop dance theatre work?
Are you using hip hop dance styles in a different and exciting way?
Do you have a story to tell or something to say through hip hop dance theatre?

We are always looking for new companies with unique work to represent the UK at Breakin’ Convention and we know there are lots of you out there.

If you are interested in being one of these companies, please read the guidelines.

If you think you are producing work that fits into the festival programme, then please register your interest by completing the online form for new companies.

You must register by Thursday 31 January 2008. We will send a confirmation email to notify you that your application has arrived. After the closing deadline we might contact you for more information or to discuss your proposal in detail.

The closing date for proposals is Thursday 31 January 2008.

The final festival line-up will be confirmed by Friday 29 February 2008.

Please note, registering your interest does not guarantee a place in the line-up.

HAVE YOU ALREADY PERFORMED IN BREAKIN’ CONVENTION?

You know by now what we are looking for. However, please take note of the new application process.

If you are interested in being in the next festival, please register your interest now by completing our online form for returning companies .   Due to the high number of companies that would like to be part of the festival each year, it is important that you let us know that you are interested and if you have a concept, work in progress or a completed work.
