R-16 took place last weekend in Korea. Day 1 saw the solo B Boy, Popping and Locking battle and on Day 2 it was the B Boy crew performance and battle.
Hosts were DUMBFOUNDEAD AND JAZZY IVY
Judges were FLOMASTER, EASY ROCK (B BOY), B BOY KWIKSTEP, B BOY BRAHIM, B BOY HONG 10, JUNIOR (LOCKING), WALID (POPPING), LEGEND (POPPING), ZERO (POPPING) AND KHAN (LOCKING)
Crews included PHASE T (FRANCE), FUSION ROCKERS (SPAIN), JINJO CREW (KOREA), TERROR BUNCH (GERMANY), ALL STARS CREW (PUERTO RICO), PROJECT P-NOISE (PHILIPPINES), BIG TOE CREW (VIETNAM)
For the B Boy crew performance competition, the contestants had to show their creative routines to prepared music in limited time of under 4 minutes. The ranks determined through the performance competition decided the order of the battle tournament. 8 qualified teams attended the tournament and the winner JINJO CREW from Korea achieved the title of the world’s best B Boy crew along with a cash prize of $14,000.
Phase T (fresh from the Breakin' Convention '10 festival and before they are to join the Breakin' Convention 2010 tour which kicks off in October) took second place in the category- WELL DONE GUYS!
