WORKSHOP PROGRAMME

SATURDAY 26 MAY

Electric Boogaloos (USA)

11:15-12:45

Created in the 70's by the Electric Boogaloos and the Fabulous Lockers, poppin'™ involves the flexing of your muscles and the snap of your legs to the beat of the music, and Locking is the funkiest dance ever.  If you've always wanted to have a go, but never quite dared, then take a chance on this class - you won't be disappointed!

Frank Ejara (BRAZIL)

13:00-14:15

Entertaining and skilled Brazilian artist Frank Ejara teaches this general level Lockin' workshop. Lockin' was invented in the late 1970s by Don Campbell and was originally called the Campbell Lock.  Lockin' involves short pauses or locks combined with steps, points and claps with a strong sense of humour.

Franck II Louise (FRANCE)

14:30-15:45

Drop It! is a masterpiece of hip hop dance theatre.  Join the Company for a high powered breakin’ workshop that covers the foundation moves and has a strong musicality.  Plus a unique opportunity to learn some of the choreography from Drop It!
